4th Meridian Brewing Company is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Ribstone Creek Brewery on December 16, 2022.

One of Alberta’s early craft breweries, Ribstone Creek Brewery, is a well-established brand with several mainstay and seasonal brews. Due to economic and logistic challenges, Ribstone Creek closed operations in their hometown of Edgerton, Alberta, in December 2022. Ribstone operations will move to Lloydminster, Alberta, to continue producing award-winning brews.

Beer connoisseurs and enthusiasts have become accustomed to the taste and quality of the Ribstone label. Rest assured, 4th Meridian will stay true to the Ribstone recipes when brewing.

4th Meridian owners say, “We’re excited to see the legacy of Ribstone Creek Brewery continue. Ribstone Creek is an acclaimed brewery with award-winning products. They put East Central Alberta on the map in the craft beer world, and we just didn’t want to see them go. We look forward to moving operations to Lloydminster, getting Ribstone products back on the market, and picking up where they left off in Edgerton.”

With this acquisition, 4th Meridian will expand production while maintaining its line-up of brews under the 4th Meridian label. Brewers are already at work to bring Ribstone Creek Lager back to store shelves and your local taps. Retailers will be able to offer Ribstone Creek and 4th Meridian products as separate labels to their customers.
